After almost two years, the City of Mbombela (CoM) announced today, November 6, that the White River Library will reopen on November 17. The library’s roof and building have to be repaired after they were damaged during a severe storm in 2023.

The renovations focused on creating a safe, durable and functional space for the public to use. The municipality also carried out general maintenance, and upgrades were implemented to welcome library users in a conducive environment.

“The reopening will celebrate the restoration of an important community asset and reaffirm the municipality’s dedication to improving access to quality public services,” the CoM stated.
