Watch: Lowvelders wet their whistles during annual Pub Crawl
The pubs hosted fun games and activities to garner votes for the best pub competition.
Cheerful Lowvelders painted the town red on Saturday, November 1 when they dressed-up in unique costumes and raised their glasses during the annual Lowvelder Pub Crawl.

Locals were transported by Citybug buses to visit six venues – Little Loftus, The Outpost Lapa, Hennie’s, Oppihoek, Marlin Pub and Grill, and Bossa, to drink, eat and be merry.
The pubs went all out by hosting unique activities and entertainment to get voted as the best pub.
Little Loftus’s carnival theme was a colourful start to the crawl with delicious pulled pork sliders and pap and kaiings.

Oppihoek had a Baywatch theme and challenged pub crawlers to belt it out on the karaoke stage. The Outpost Lapa had a fun balloon popping game in which locals could win free shots.
Teams were judged on spirit, costumes and originality. In the end, it was the Master Builders, the Damduikers and Party Animals who stood out among the troops.
A special prize-giving was held at Mustangs – The Dancing Place, and Little Loftus was crowned this year’s best pub.
