Murder suspect appears in Bushbuckridge court after evading arrest for 3 months

A murder case opened in Bushbuckridge three months ago has been heard in court.

A 45-year-old suspect, Thabo Mabilane Dibakoane, appeared in the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court today, December 18, after evading arrest for more than three months.

He is accused of fatally stabbing a woman in Shatale.

The murder case was registered in September and the suspect was arrested on December 16 in Alverton Village.

The arrest followed a tip-off from residents and was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Tubatse SAPS Detective Services and the Bushbuckridge SAPS.

He was remanded in custody and will reappear in court on December 23 for further proceedings.
