VIDEO | Heavy rainfall delays Letaba bridge repairs

The bridge requires extensive repairs following the January floods.

As park visitors wait in anticipation for Letaba High-level Bridge to reopen, SANParks has confirmed that due to heavy rainfall this past week, the reopening has been postponed to March 18.

“This change in dates has largely been necessitated by rainfall over the past week that resulted in the technical team losing approximately three days of production,” JP Louw, SANParks spokesperson explained.

The bridge suffered severe damages during the devastating floods in January this year and, therefore, requires extensive repairs.
