Mbombela businessman still missing six days after alleged abduction

The mystery surrounding the alleged kidnapping of a Shandon resident continues.

Six days after a Mbombela businessman was allegedly kidnapped, police have issued an appeal to the public for assistance as the search continues.

The man was reportedly abducted on Tuesday, April 14, while on his way home to Shandon. His identity remains withheld at the request of police due to the sensitive nature of the case.

The alleged abduction occurred after a collision involving the victim’s vehicle and a Volkswagen Polo. It is reported that an individual fired a shot before the man was forced into the Polo, which then fled the scene. His daughter, who was in the vehicle at the time, was unharmed.

According to police, no arrests have been made at this stage, and investigations are ongoing.
