Search for missing student in Crocodile river continues
A Mpumalanga EMS helicopter has been deployed to assist in the search for Zenande Chiloane in Mbombela.
After four days, Zenande Chiloane, a student who went missing after the vehicle he was travelling in crashed into the Crocodile River, is yet to be found. Search and rescue teams will continue searching the river’s banks and islands in an effort to locate him.

“Today we will also use the emergency medical services (EMS) helicopter to hopefully locate him,” said Captain Pottie Potgieter of the Ehlanzeni Diving Unit.

With the additional help of drones, police remain hopeful that Chiloane will be found.
The bodies of the vehicle’s two other occupants, Vigo Godfrey and Tintswalo Khoza, were recovered on June 7, shortly after the vehicle plunged into the river.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
