Women gather in Mbombela for Be Brave event

Local businesses showcase products as inspirational speakers empower guests during a Women's Day initiative.

Women from all walks of life came together at Church Unlimited for the Be Brave event on August 13.

During this Women’s Day event, women enjoyed and learnt from presentations on various topics delivered by local speakers. The event also gave local businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services.

It was hosted by the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism (KLCBT), South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) and Avis.

Organisers praise turnout

KLCBT CEO Linda Grimbeek said it was an incredible event that surpassed all expectations in terms of quality and attendance. “We received a lot of fantastic feedback and we can’t wait to host another event next year.”

Networking creates new opportunities

SACBW provincial business leader Estelle Roe said the event was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, laugh and network with almost 180 incredible women in the room.

“The day was all about embracing the spirit of connection, stepping outside comfort zones and being open to meeting new people,” said Roe. “One conversation leading to a new connection, one idea to a new possibility and one brave step to an unexpected opportunity.”
