Roadworks on Johanna Drive in Mbombela cause traffic congestion

Some motorists expressed unhappiness with waiting times at the stop-and-go control points, claiming traffic controllers are not communicating effectively.

Intersection converted to a four-way stop

City of Mbombela spokesperson Joseph Ngala said the rehabilitation project necessitated stop-and-go traffic control, urging motorists to remain patient.

He added that traffic lights at the intersection of Dr Enos Mabuza Drive and Johanna Drive have been switched to flashing mode, requiring motorists to treat the junction as a four-way stop until construction is complete.
