Former White River lawyer turned businessman Willem Janson has passed away.

Janson reportedly died yesterday afternoon (September 23). Details surrounding his death have not been confirmed.

For the past few years, Janson had been embroiled in a court battle over eBundu Lodge, which he and his wife, Enesta, built and ran for more than 30 years.

The lodge, once a prime destination employing more than 100 people, is now a shell of its former glory following fraud allegations involving their shareholder.
