WATCH: Fire breaks out at Letaba Rest Camp in Kruger National Park
Two chalets undergoing renovations following flood damage were affected before emergency teams contained the blaze.
Two chalets caught fire earlier today (September 24) at Letaba Rest Camp in the Kruger National Park.
According to park spokesperson Rey Thakhuli, the affected units were out of commission and were undergoing renovations following damage sustained during the January floods.
Thakhuli said emergency response teams on site responded swiftly, and the fire was promptly contained.

“No additional damage to surrounding infrastructure was reported, and no injuries were sustained.”
Thakhuli confirmed that the exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation by SANParks authorities.
