MINE MANAGER VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT. Cheetah Chrome South Africa, is located in the Burgersfort area, situated on the Eastern Belt of the Bushveld Igneous complex in Limpopo Province. Farm Mooihoek 255 KT, Driekop, Burgersfort. Mine Manager – Cheetah Chrome South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced and results- driven Mine Manager to lead both Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and Conventional Mining Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable management of mining activities while ensuring compliance with all statutory and company requirements. ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
•Grade 12.
•Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
•Mine Manager`s Certificate of Competency.
•Minimum 3-5 years` mining experience, including senior management experience.
•Senior or Principal Mining Engineer experience.
•Proven experience in both Trackless and Conventional Mining environments in Chrome.
•Sound knowledge of mine planning, production management, and SHEQ systems.
•Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
•Experience with legal appointments under the MHSA will be advantageous. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide strategic leadership and direction for mining operations. Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and other applicable legislation. Manage production targets, budgets, and operational performance. Lead and develop multidisciplinary mining teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and safety. Oversee TMM and conventional mining activities to achieve operational excellence. Ensure effective risk management and implementation of safety standards.
