NOTICE ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION (EA) GRANTED IN TERMS OF SECTION 24 OF THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT, (ACT NO.: 107 OF 1998) (NEMA) AS AMENDED, AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) REGULATIONS 2014, AS AMENDED FOR THE PROSPECTING RIGHT PROJECT FOR 3RD ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION (PTY) LTD IN RESPECT OF THE FARM AS STATED BELOW, SITUATED IN THE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT OF LYDENBERG IN THABA CHWEU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, MPUMALANGA PROVINCE. NOTICE OF GRANTED EA AND APPEAL PROCESS TO INTERESTED AND AFFECTED PARTIES (I&APs): The notice is hereby given, in terms of the NEMA as amended, and EIA Regulations 2014, as amended; the DMPR has granted 3rd Alternative Solutions (Pty) Ltd (`3rd Alternative`) the EA for prospecting on farm Bergkant 41 JT, situated at above-mentioned jurisdiction. The EA was granted on 19 August 2026 and received on 25 August 2026. Please note that the copy of the granted EA is available and can be obtained by contacting Licebo Environmental and Mining (Pty) Ltd on the details below or accessible on the Licebo website: https://licebo.co.za/public-reviews/ under 3rd Alternative Solutions (Pty) Ltd Prospecting Right EA or requested from the Licebo Environmental and Mining office as per the details below. As required by Regulation 4(2) of the NEMA EIA Regulations 2014, as amended, all I&APs must be notified of the decision within 14 days of the date of receiving the decision. As per the EA, we would like to draw your attention to Chapter 2 of the NEMA National Appeal Regulations (Government Notice 993 of 8 December 2014, as amended by the National Appeal Amendment Regulations, (Government Notice Regulation (GNR) 5958 of 13 March 2025), which prescribes the appeal procedure to be followed. Should you wish to appeal any aspect of the decision, you must submit the appeal to the Minister of the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE) and a copy of such an appeal to the DMPR, Mpumalanga Office, within 20 days from the date of this notification. Such an appeal must be lodged as prescribed in Chapter 2 of the National Appeal Regulations of 2014, as amended by means of the methods prescribed below:
