STOCK CONTROLLER – THEATRE – KIAAT PRIVATE HOSPITAL Stock Controller
•Theatre An employment opportunity exists for a Stock Controller, reporting to the Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for stock control in the Theatre including consignment and prosthesis. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Diploma/Degree in Nursing
•Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
•Post-basic qualification in Nursing Management or equivalent (advantageous/required depending on your policy)
•Minimum of 5 years` nursing experience, with at least 2`3 years in a management role
•Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement and infection control
•Proven experience in budgeting and financial management within a hospital environment
•Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Critical Outputs
•Manage all incoming pharmaceutical / surgical stock and assist in arranging stock availability according to procedure and Doctor requirements.
•Manage prosthesis and consignment stock.
•Capture invoices accurately and unpack stock according to protocols and procedures.
•Coordinate and ensure that the billing is done accurately.
•Liaise with companies with regards to discrepancies on received stock and keep records of communication.
•Knowledge of cycle counts and stock take procedures.
•Manage stock to prevent losses, pilferage and overstocking. Requirements
•Grade 12.
•Stock control experience will be an advantage.
•Experience in a private hospital environment.
•Knowledge of surgical stock, consignment and prosthesis.
•Knowledge of Surgicom price file codes and product codes.
