NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION
Residential development of Erf 2/972 of Riverside Park Extension 36
This notice is given in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended).
Activity: It is proposed to develop 23 935 sqm of Portion 2 of Erf 972 of Riverside Park Ext. 36 as a “Residential 2” zoned property at a density of 80 du/hectare. The site will form an extension of the residential component of Riverside Park Ext. 35, which adjoins the property to the east.
The main listed EIA activities include GNR893. Activity 12 & 19; GNR895. Activity 12,14 & 15 for the removal of more than 300 sqm of indigenous vegetation from an endangered ecosystem as well as development of structures and associated infrastructure within 32m of a wetland.
Locality: The Portion 2 of Erf 972 of Riverside Park Ext. 36 Township, City of Mbombela Local Municipality, Mpumalanga Province.
