NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION
Notice is given in terms of Section 24(1) of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (as amended) that Ulusaba Rock Lodge Pty Ltd (the Applicant) intends to submit an application for Environmental Authorisation to the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land & Environmental Affairs supported by a Basic Impact Assessment process for the proposed development of a new access road at Rock Lodge and the upgrading of existing water and wastewater treatment facilities at both Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge situated on Portion 2 of the farm Wallingford 256-KU, located in the Sabie Sand Nature Reserve, Bushbuck Ridge Local Municipal Area. This will require environmental assessment and authorisation of regulated activities as listed under the 2014 EIA Listing Notices (as amended), including but not limited to Activities 4, 12, 14 and 23 of Listing Notice 3 and Activity 19 of Listing Notice 1. Notice is also given in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 of the Applicant`s intent to register and / or obtain authorisation for listed water use and wastewater treatment activities associated with the above.
