– I’m still shocked about what is happening around Hazyview lodges. They get robbed each and every week but none of them warns their customers of the high crime rate situation around Hazyview. As for the town’s police, you must be ashamed of yourself. How many times should these thieves rob people before you take action? We’ve been robbed in February and up until today nothing has happened. The investigator of our case has been arrested for rhino poaching and we are trying to make follow-ups regarding the case. Since the rhino poacher has been taken care of, none of them seems to care and have any information about our case – Dumisani
– Nationally we have reached a limit that can’t be tolerated any longer. Areas such as Hazyview, an area that we have been visiting often over the past 30 to 40 years is surely losing its attraction. The beauty of the area is totally overshadowed with crime. My brother in-law and his wife were victims of an armed robbery near Mac-Mac last week. This can’t continue, we as law-abiding citizens must stand together and win back our country for ourselves and our children. It does not help that we supposedly have a democratic vote but we are all prisoners of the criminals – Dirk
– Hazyview is no more dangerous than the next place, and labeling Hazyview is not going to help the situation at all. Yes we have our own set of unique challenges, namely a large thick, bushy valley, pristine bush making it one of our attractions, in which perpetrators can move relatively unhindered, with access into the area, SAPS not skilled, trained and motivated enough to make a difference. Nothing new, throughout the country. The community has been standing together and has, to a large degree kept the criminal elements at bay for months now. The attacks have become more of a sporadic happening rather than everyday. The suspects seem to be highly trained individuals. The community SAPS and security companies are still out searching for them, we have eyes in the sky looking for these scumbags. Good luck guys, I don’t want to be you when you are caught – Francois
