My parents have decided to come up to the Lowveld next week to surprise us with a visit – we were astonished when we heard that they had made a reservation at a resort in Hazyview.
Having read the newspapers over the past year and especially the past week, and again today, we are very aware of the crime in that area. I asked them to change their booking to another area or resort. Upon contacting it they were assured although things were under control they should be vigilant!
How vigilant can you be after having closed your windows, locked your doors and taken all the precautions you can – and you wake up at 03:00 with someone standing in your room with a gun pointed at you?
It must seriously be desperate for business!
