I am writing this letter out of desperation for help for all the stray cats in Komatipoort.

It seems like that I am the only one concerned about the well-being of all these homeless cats. It breaks my heart that I am not able to help all of them.

When I came to Komatipoort five years ago, quite a few kittens were born at my place of work. They were all deformed and paralysed, I were unable to save any of them and had them all put to sleep.

Over the years my mom and I tried to adopt as many as we could. The problem that I am having now is that the community do not appreciate the fact that I am feeding the cats. I was literally forced to stop doing so. I tried to catch some of them, but in the process did more harm. My idea was to have them spayed.

I tried to contact Pro Life several times, but they have never been able to find homes for any of these homeless kittens.Unfortu-nately, there is no vet in Komatipoort. Twice a week there a vet visits Malalane for a few hours, otherwise the closest is Nelspruit. I have to take time off work to get to a vet.

I cannot find a home for any of them. If I could afford it, I would adopt them all, because they are such lovely pets to have. All they need is a good home and a little bit of love.
