BARBERTON – Potholes pose a danger to motorists in town
Not only is the potholes big but it's on a curve in the road making it dangerous to swerve out into oncoming traffic lanes.

Gerhard van Rensburg writes:
Today I once more regret to write this letter, because it sounds like I am moaning or don’t appreciate the town. I’ve recently spoken to a lot of fellow Barbertonians and everyone is complaining about the potholes in Crown Street in front of Task Motors.
Why can’t it be fixed? And the holes towards the industrial area? Not only is the potholes big but it’s on a curve in the road making it dangerous to swerve out into oncoming traffic lanes.
Umjindi Municipality shouldn’t come with the excuse that it’s raining frequently. These potholes were filled with sand and nothing else.
Most of these potholes are reoccurring and even I know that you need to dig up the road and put a thicker layer of tar, not the usual “lappieskombers” everyone is familiar with.
