I enjoyed the article about Old Joe published in Lowvelder on February 3. I came to know him in 1958 when my parents moved to Nelspruit. We also stopped to take a look at him and did so on many other occasions.
I must confess, though, that I do not like Joe being made over again and again. I would have liked to remember him as he was when I first saw him.
