Action-cricket season ends with a big bang
The Nelspruit indoor cricket league for youngsters came to an end this month with four teams playing in the finals for gold, silver and bronze positions.

Many had performed extremely well during the course of the season with a large
number of them competing in the recent interprovincial tournament as well as
some obtaining South African colours.
Coaches Eric Grimaldi and Hugh Prior were extremely satisfied with their player’s performances throughout the season.
In his address to the youngsters, Prior said that they all worked hard and have reaped the fruit of their labour in reaching their high standard of play. He
assured them of another successful season ahead and encouraged the parents to
support their children in pursuit of this high-paced sport.
“There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that many of the players sitting before us will in the future become national team members,” said Grimaldi. “The sport has grown and is continuing to do so in this region and with it comes many new talented
individuals who help improve the level of play we currently have.
“We are looking forward to a great year and a great new season.”
“We have decided to move to a new premises to allow better parking and ease of access to those players who have other extramural activities to attend. An official announcement will be made once everything has been finalised.”
