Riders face off in scenic race
Saturday March 1, saw the start of the Mpumalanga XC Series at Uplands.
This is an official CSA series, which means the series winner in each category will be the 2014 Mpumalanga XC Champion.
The riders’ adrenaline was pumping from lung-bursting climbs, dam crossings and smooth single-track routes. It offered something for everyone, regardless of riding skill, fitness level or age.
The Uplands course has 50 per cent flowing single tracks with 30 seconds of technical titbits which tested the riders’ technical skills.
There are three more races in this series and these take place on February 15 at Curro School in Nelspruit, Mankele Mountain Biking at Sudwala on March 1 and at Misty Mountain on the Long Tom Pass on March 29. Enquiries: Brett on 082-774-5821.

the sprog female category and Jean van der Merwe in the sprog male category.
