TUKAKGOMO – Tubatse Masters continued their quest to teach local soccer teams football lessons. This past weekend the star-studded team visited Tukakgomo Legends for a friendly match.

It took place at Tukakgomo sport grounds on February 9. Visitors took charge of the game right from the onset with midfielder Doctor Klaaste handing the travelling side the dream start they had hoped for, when they took the lead in the fifth minute. Klaaste blasted a thunderous shot that hit the cross bar and bounced into the back of the net. The score by the time of the interval was 1-0 in favour of Tubatse Masters.

In the second half the legends pushed men forward but they failed to convert the chances they created. They were made to rue their missed chances when Tubatse striker Aubrey Malindisa scored a sucker punch to hand his team a well-deserved 2-nil victory and send the visiting fans into raptures.

Jerial Movundlela, coach of Tubatse Masters applauded his team for showing team effort and defending as a unit.

“In the second half, the home team came at us but we fought hard to deny them a consolation goal,” said the mentor.
