Curro holds first independent athletics

Curro Nelspruit hosted the annual Independent Schools Athletics meeting on Saturday February 22.

A total of 10 local schools took part in this very successful event.
It officially marked the opening of the newly built 400m-athletics track. The proceedings were opened by Mr Jaco van den Berg, the

A total of 516 athletes competed in the 69 items. The athletes performed admirably, in trying conditions after a sudden downpour of rain the night before.
Curro came out on top on 79, outshining their competitors by a convincing 246 points. Uplands Prep were the runners- up with 211 and had 83 athletes present, followed by Penryn Prep on 201 points with 88
taking part.

The school would like to thank Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate, Dougs Hiring, Copper Leaf graphic design, I Brant IT marketing and
Minute Man Press for their generous sponsorships and involvement.
