Golf pro shows youth the ropes

LYDENBURG – The qualified PGA teaching professional, Edwin Compton, recently paid a visit to the Lydenburg Golf Club to inspire the youngsters of this well-established club.

With great enthusiasm he showed the young golfers the finer ropes of the sport, including valuable techniques and encouraged them to keep on practising. Comton works for the South African Golf Development Board as the development manager for Mpumalanga and also coaches out of Bankenveld Golf Estate.

He has been coaching golf in Witbank for the past six years and has numerous juniors playing and winning junior golf tournaments in the province. The club would like to thank him for his assistance.
