Anglers boast bags of fish at bass competition

The second leg of the Lowveld Bass Trail was held at Injaka Dam on March 8.

A total of 32 boats entered the competition.
The weeks leading up to the event were marked by heavy downpours.
The day of the competition was mostly overcast and the dam was overflowing.
Most boats, however, managed to catch their bag limit.
“As always Injaka produced some very nice bass.
“The majority of big fish were landed with top-water baits with buzz baits also doing well on the day. Spinners also proved beneficial for a number of anglers,” said Shaun Fredriksson of Lowveld Bass.
