X-Fest full of competition and camaraderie

This is one of the most popular events in the area. Deon Bregtenbach took the lead in the first race with Dewet Michau and Jaco Lubbe following closely on his heels with only seconds separating them.

In the second race for the pro kayakers, Bregtenbach again had the smoothest run followed by Shaun Huddle and Hugh du Preez.

During the third one, which included another rapid Du Preez won the race
followed by MJ Kuhn, and Shaun Huddle and Lubbe shared third place.

The highlight of the day was the elbow rapid during which Lubbe registered a competitive time with Du Preez and Johann Swart making the best of this amazing rapid.
