On Saturday March 05 Mlambo Royal Cubs successfully kept their hopes of defending the championship title alive. Royal Cubs trashed Langeloop Eastern 3-0 in the main match of the day at Phiva soccer field.

Langeloop were given a chance to take the lead in the early stages of the game when they were awarded a penalty, only for the ball not find the bottom cross bar and being cleared by Royal Cubs defenders.

15 minutes before the halftime break,Langeloop Eastern was punished for failing to convert their chances when Sifiso Shabalala of Royal Cubs managed to put enough power behind his header to find the opening goal before colliding with Langeloop Eastern’s  goalkeeper and another defender in mid air.

After the halftime break, Siyabonga Vilane and William Nkosi, provided a goal each, enough to comprehensively put Royal Cubs in the last 64.
