Little swimmers show off to parents

Sanswem in Hazyview had its yearly gala on March 28. Swim instructor, Sandra Botes showed all the parents of Imphilo Entsha Preschool how their little ones were progressing.

First the little ones start with wings, they then are taught to blow bubbles and open their eyes under the water, until they progress to bobbles.
They start off with three bobbles, and as they progress the instructor takes them off.
They soon learn how to swim without any help. The more advanced swimmers demonstrate safety techniques.
At the gala the kids swam from the deep end back to the shallow side and Botes showed how they could put their heads under water.
The children were honoured with a blue certificate for their hard work, which also indicated that they were water safe.

The swimmer with most improvement went to Philasande Masinga.
In the 12 years of Sanswem being in Hazyview, it had sent two swimmers to the SA
Championships.
