Boys make province proud
Two athletes of Penryn College recently went to Cape Town for the South African athletics meeting.

Ernest Mthethwa (boys/17) and Tiyani Mathebula (boys/15) both represented Mpumalanga at the South African Secondary Athletics Championships in Polokwane from March 27 to 29 and also at the South African Junior
Athletics Championships in Stellenbosch at the beginning of April.
Ernest was includedfor the long jump and Tiyani for the 100m and long jump.
The 17-year-old jumped 6,69m at interhigh and 7,07m at the Mpumalanga championships in Secunda with the qualifying distance being 6,6m. Tiyani jumped 6,09m at interhigh and 6,35m in Secunda also far ahead of the SA qualifying distance of 6,1m.
He ran the 100m in 11,66s at interhigh and 11,22s at the Mpumalanga championships.
The qualifying time is 11,3s.
