curro derby reaps success
Curro Holdings in South Africa presents 7s rugby, netball and hockey tournaments annually.
Curro Nelspruit took part in the eastern region tournament which took place at Curro Bankenveld in Witbank on April 12. There were eight schools from the eastern region participating this year.
This big derby started for the Nelspruiters with a spirit week which ended on Friday when the pupils dressed as their favourite superhero.
It was a very successful day – Nelspruit were tournament winners in the u/11 rugby, u/10 netball and u/13 girl’s hockey.
They were runners up for the u/13 and u/15 rugby. The entire senior teams for netball and rugby were very competitive in all their matches. Teams were selected to represent Curro Holdings in a north vs south derby. For the u/11 and u/13 rugby, netball and hockey teams this will be at Mossel Bay and for the u/15 and u/18 rugby, netball and hockey it will take place at Aurora.
Nelspruit will also present an u/13, 7s rugby and netball day on its home grounds on September 13.
