White River parkrun women’s record is held by Bianke Potgieter

Henning van Aswegen (SM18-19) of Run Walk For Life Nelspruit, was first over the line in 19:32 - first appearance.

Braam van der Merwe (JM11-14) (Unattached) was second over the line in 22:11. Callie van der Merwe (JM11-14) (Unattached) was third over the line in 22:23.

Current standing in the Men’s annual points competition: Bertus Steenberg (Unattached) 595 pts. David Gear(Legogote Villagers) 580 pts. Clive Smart (Nedbank LVCC RC Mpumalanga (Nelspruit)) 473 pts.

Women’s placings: Sarah Ratnarajah (VW40-44) (Unattached) was first (9th overall) over the line in 25:05 – first time in 3 appearances. Michelle Jacobs (JW11-14) (Unattached) was second (10th overall) over the line in 25:25. Marlize Spreeth (VW35-39) (Unattached) was third (12th overall) over the line in 27:23.

Current standing in the Women’s annual points competition: Charmaine Adendorf (Unattached) 655 pts. Marina Erasmus(Unattached) 481 pts. Caroline van Willing (Unattached) 420 pts.

The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores: Henning van Aswegen (SM18-19) was graded 67.49% for the time 19:32 (first overall). Clive Smart (VM55-59) was graded 65.83% for the time 23:57 (5th overall). Braam van der Merwe (JM11-14) was graded 65.36% for the time 22:11 (second overall).

This week there were 53 runners, of whom 19 were first timers and 18 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 4 different athletics clubs took part.

White River parkrun started on 15th March 2014, and since then 262 different runners, including participants from 16 athletics clubs, have completed 485 runs covering a total distance of 2,425 km, and there have been 110 new Personal Bests.

The women’s record is held by Bianke Potgieter who ran in a time of 00:22:41 on 2014-04-12 (event number 5). The men’s record is held by Wandla Nkozi who ran in a time of 00:18:28 on 2014-04-19 (event number 6). The Age Grade course record is held by Wandla Nkosi who recorded a 75.36% run (18:28) on 19th April 2014 (event number 6).
