Sivutsa Stars to settle in Durban
The National First Division (NFD) side Sivutsa Stars will play their last home game of the season this Sunday at the KaBokweni Stadium against relegation bound Roses United.

This will also be Sivutsa Stars’ last game at this stadium under the leadership of their boss Derrick Khoza, who has sold the team to the Durban-based business mogul, Sbu Mpisane.
This means that after next week Sunday’s fixture against African Warriors at the Charles Mopeli Stadium, Sivutsa Stars will officially belong to Mpisane and will therefore relocate to Durban.
Stars, which are currently in position 13 after 28 games, have already secured a stay in the NFD and will try again when the new season begins, but this time from Durban.
Mpumalanga News has since established that the team was sold for more than R10 million and that no one has lost their jobs as a result of the sale, meaning that everyone employed by the team will get to keep their positions but will also have to relocate to Durban, where the team’s headquarters will be based.
“We are playing our last home game on Sunday and we are dedicating it to all our supporters who have been with the team since the beginning until now.
“We have done all that we could to take the team to greater heights and I believe we have turned it into a formidable and competitive side.
“We owe our successes to all our supporters, friends, family and our local media, such as Mpumalanga News and Ligwalagwala FM and I would like to take this opportunity and thank them for their support,” said Khoza.
“To show our appreciation, we will be throwing a big thank-you party for all our supporters and stake-holders on Sunday, and so we would like to invite them to come in numbers and have fun with the team one last time,” Khoza went on.
He said he would not be lost to the beautiful game as he would return when the time was right.
Mpisane will also be a part of the planned festivities on Sunday. Those interested in attending the party and those who want to be in the VIP section can book with Charles Nkosi on 072-199-3514.
