Barberton High teams show great form in winter sports
On May 10 Barberton High School (BHS) took part in various winter-sports events and performed exceedingly well.

The rugby games won against Matsetakhe were as follows:
u/14s won 51-0
u/15s won 22-7
u/16s won 60-5.
The first team won with 43-12. Men of the match were Bradly Nonyane and André Visser.
The hockey boys and girls gave their best against Curro and the results were as follows:
u/14 girls lost 0-3.
First team won 8-0 with Nobuhle Dlamini as lady of the match.
The hockey boys won their match with 3-1 and man of the match was Sandile Thela.
During the Mpumalanga Women’s League, a number of BHS hockey girls took part. The team beat KaNyamazane
21-0 and lost 0-3 against Impala 1.
The netball girls also participated in the MSN playoffs (B development league), and although they did not win, they played an exceptional game.
Seven netball players also took part in the final trials in Witbank and two players of BHS, Lexi Pohl (u/16) and Nonhle Hlophe (u/18), were chosen for the Mpumalanga netball team who will go on a tour to Durban during June.
