Cyclists take on first series of Das Auto

The first leg of the five-part Das Auto Mountain Bike Series, hosted by Penryn, kicked off on Saturday

It was as challenging as always, but a great event.

Judging by the 400 cyclists who participated, the rest of the series is on track to be a huge success. The race was divided into three categories: 15km, 25km and 50km. More than 150 cyclists participated in the 15km race, while a total of 186 racers took part in the 25km section and 61 more experienced and serious participants took on the 50km.

The route consisted of a mixture of jeep track, single track and a few surprise obstacles along the way.
