Hazyview bowler wins all singles

The bowls player, Christie Cross of Bungalows in Hazyview won all her single games at the InterZone Development Tournament in Limpopo. 

She walked away as the overall singles winner with 67 points.

A total of 12 bowlers represented the Mpumalanga Lowveld Bowls Association – Christie Cross, Anne-Marie van der Ham, Anette Stassen, Elenor Storkey, Gerrie Swanepoel, Daryl Cross, Kevin Joubert, Duane Visser, Sander Stassen and Charl van der Ham.

The three-day tournament was played in warm weather by teams from the Lowveld, Limpopo and Central Gauteng. 

They were divided into pairs, trips, fours and single players. 

The Limpopo men came first with 14 points and a shot aggregate of +68 with Gauteng with six points and a shot aggregate of -9. 

The Lowvelders struggled and only had four points and a shot aggregate of -59. Limpopo also took first place in the ladies section with 12 points and a shot aggregate of +38. 

The local team got six points and a shot aggregate of -6 and Gauteng came in third place with six points and a shot aggregate of -32.
