Riders excel in cross-country and combined show
The Ponderosa training cross-country and combined show took place this past weekend to prepare for the graded cross-country event scheduled for August 23 and 24 on the national events calendar.

It was a stunning morning for a cross-country event. Due to the few entries the organisers had to combine the planned two-day show, and all classes were run on Sunday.
“Thank you very much to the primary sponsor of the day, Midfeeds Tack and Togs who provided lovely gift bags. I also want to thank Wiesenhof Makro, All Tacked Up, Ponderosa Ranch and HTS Business Support,” said Helen Thrush.
Petro Smith, the dressage judge for the day, commented on Facebook: “When I arrived and saw the lovely arena, I felt like jumping and running in the sand. It was amazing!”
James Thrush was the show-jumping judge for the day, with stunning flowing courses designed and built by René Roussouw. The photography club joined in getting lots of great action shots.
Riders interested in participating in future events and training days, can join the Mpumalanga 3 Phase Eventing Facebook page.
