Muddy 4×4 fun for the family
Muddy fun awaits 4x4 enthusiasts at the 15th Summerhill 4x4 Family and Fun Day on August 2.

The much-anticipated annual fund-raising event will be held at Natie van Staden’s farm, three kilometres up the R536 towards Sabie.
Entry tickets are R20 per adult and R10 per child under 12 years.
The main attraction is the custom-built obstacle course, consisting of eight competitive sections, followed by the Ultimate Show-stopper Challenge. Entrants are divided into six classes, competing in a challenging but fun and safe environment. The categories are short-wheel base, long-wheel base, modified short-wheel base, modified long-wheel base, special vehicles, and fun bugs. Competitors and their co-drivers are invited to a complimentary breakfast, sponsored by Sanbonani Resort, which will be served in the beer tent from 07:00 to 08:00. The chief marshall’s briefing will be at 07:30 and all vehicles will be checked to ensure that they are entered into the correct category. The competition starts at 08:00 and the prize-giving ceremony will take place in the beer tent at 18:00.
In addition to the 4×4 course, there will be children’s entertainment, boeresport, a MTB race for children (parents are allowed to tag along), a Coca-Cola laser truck, beer tent, tea garden, various food stalls, exhibitors, a flea market and a big screen. Funds raised will be used to finance improvements to Summerhill Prep School’s facilities.
