Action heats up track in Farm Jam

As a typical winter's morning welcomed 233 off-road racers this past weekend in Middelburg, action levels hit anything but the sub-zero mark, especially not at Dirt Trax where the fourth leg of the Farm Jam Series took place.

With this being one of the most enjoyable off-road routes, racers were in good spirit and excited to get onto the track. Once again the team of McGee Yamaha Lydenburg proved why they were a team to be reckoned with, when two of their riders secured top-three positions.

Riaan Prinsloo of Steelpoort, also racing for McGee Yamaha, won the open class in a time of 02:22:35 while BJ Scholtz secured third in the pro-class, in a time of 02:15:05. Another favourite, Johan Lubbe, who also entered the pro-class this time, claimed fifth position while teammate Clifford McGee finished the 125km in a time of 02:42:20, being only one of 14 riders out of 59 in the open class to complete the race, together with Wikus Olivier in seventh.
