Fierce battle produces 48 medals
The only athlete who obtained more than 700 points on the ASA table in two items at the interdependent schools meeting which took place on Saturday, was Gary Lubisi of Penryn Preparatory.
He received 733 points for his first place in the 150 metres for boys u/12 which he completed in a time of 20,16 seconds.
The highlight of his day was when he received another gold medal for his excellent time of 12,66 seconds in the 75-metre hurdles.
It was a great battle between the athletes of Uplands Prep and Penryn Prep as these two schools bagged a total of 49 medals each.
Curro Nelspruit, Riverview, Summerhill, St Peters, Woodlands and Flamboyant were part of the meeting which took place at Penryn’s sports grounds and it was hosted by St Peters.
Curro’s Brooklyn Croxon, obtained the most points on the ASA table on the day. She had a great throw in the shot put of 8,28 metres which won her 905 points.
