Large turnout at golf day
Curro Nelspruit College hosted its inaugural golf day at Nelspruit Golf Club on April 16.
The day was hosted in conjunction with Hi-Tech Security Nelspruit, a major sponsor of the event, and proved to be very successful. The Nelspruit Golf Club said it had not seen such a large turnout in quite some time. “We were lucky enough to have a full field of 140 golfers on the day and nearly a full complement of hole sponsors. Curro Holdings’ chief operating officer, Andries Greyling and regional head Dawie van Emmenis made the trip from Cape
Town to spend the day with friends and family of Curro and Hi-Tech. I am confident that this event will go from strength to strength in the future.

The competition format was a betterball Stableford and prizes were given to the top-25 pairs on the day. Closest to the pin on the front and back nine holes were awarded together with the longest drives. A number of lucky draws and raffles were also given out at the prize-giving.
