An exhilarating night of football culminated in Mpumalanga Black Aces and Polokwane City sharing the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday.

The home side got the opening goal through the in-form Puleng Tlolane, who netted his 11th goal of the season.
Aces responded swiftly with their number 10, Onyekachi Okonkwo’s shot missing the goal by mere centimetres. This was a taste of things to come, as Aces levelled the score after a spell of good pressure.
Collins Mbesuma made it 1-1 in the
30th minute with a rasping shot after being set up by Thanduyise Khuboni.
Lehlohonolo Nonyane once again showed why he was one of the left backs who put them on the map this season when he scored a well-rounded goal to put Aces in the lead for the first time in the 41st minute.
City tried their best to score the equaliser but was frustrated with the solid Jackson Mabokgwane in the Aces goal.
Amazayoni’s fortune, however, changed when Khuboni got sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
This opened the door for Polokwane City that finally found the final goal of the match in the 79th minute through Thobani Mncwango. Aces’ next match is against BidVest Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is at 15:00.
