Swimmers to benefit from new training
Swimmers will soon benefit greatly from the more modern and progressive training methods associated with Finswimming.
James Munro, executive manager of the South African Finswimming Association (SAFA) is pleased to inform that he has been tasked to set up the association in South Africa.
The goal is to send 20 swimmers to participate in the Finswimming World Cup Qualifiers in 2016. What a challenge!
Participants are invited to attend a free session to experience these new methods first-hand.
“We will have an open day on Saturday May 9. Bring the kids and come and have some fun with us. I would like to remind everyone that SAFA is an independent organisation,” says Munro.
“We are not affiliated to SwimSA. You do not need your swimming club’s approval to join finswimming.
“Lowveld Finswimming will be the club that will service the Barberton, Mbombela and White River areas.
“We are negotiating for facilities in Middelburg, Ermelo and Secunda to satisfy demand. Existing swimming clubs in these areas are welcome to join SAFA and to provide finswimming as part of their existing product offering.
“Level-one training is now available for this purpose,” says Munro.
