This former Hoërskool Nelspruit learner matriculated four years ago and now he could be writing his name into the history books.

Kok has had an outstanding season and this nomination is a just reward for his performance.

Here are nine interesting facts about him

• He ended this season as the leading tackler and also scored 23 tries

• Kok made his debut for the Springbok Sevens at the 2013 London Sevens which was the final event of the 2012/13 IRB Sevens World Series

• He was part of the u/16 Pumas Grant Khomo team in 2009 and in 2011 he represented the u/18 side at Craven Week

• His favourite World Series destination is Dubai, because of its great climate and facilities

• Kok’s favourite film is Black Hawk Down

• His favourite food is a rump steak grilled to perfection

• He is most at home in the bushveld as he enjoys hunting in the Lowveld conditions in which he grew up

• He is also a dog lover and would like to own a Staffie

• Kok is currently studying fitness training and physical science and would like to do prosthetics one day.
