Teamwork strengthens Penryn’s rugby boys
It was a clean sweep for all the Penryn rugby teams against Matsitaki from Matsulu.
Their junior teams are beginning to show confidence in one another and their teamwork paid off with some good results.
In the first XV match, Matsitaki fought bravely and did not stop playing until the final whistle. Their reward was a try in the final minutes of the game.
For Penryn, the pattern throughout the day was positive backline play with good support running from the forwards. This continuity between backs and forwards provided them the opportunity to keep the ball alive and eventually led to holes opening up in the Matsitaki defence.
In the final league match of the season before the play-offs, Penryn College take on Uplands College on the latter’s fieldtomorrow.
