Exciting season ahead for junior cricketers

The Junior Action Cricket League has recently kicked off and is becoming more popular by the day. This was the second game played at the new arena in Waterfall Street, Riverside Industrial.

Their recent move, from Bester Street to here, was made to provide convenience toward parents having to drop them off as it is more central.

This also marks the start of the inter provincial championships. From here on out, 66 from all over the country will be selected to take part in the in the finals that will be held in Centurion at the end of June.

“We are still looking for juniors to come and join us every Friday night at 17:30,” coach Eric Grimaldi says.

In December, the area will also be home to the Junior Club Championships which will be held over four days.

The action arena will not only host sporting matches, but also children’s birthday parties and will have a fully licensed bar area and restaurant.

Teams can participate in social and league games and can enter for the league season. In addition to this, businesses are also welcome to enter teams for a business league this season.
