Skaters’ performance at motor show off the charts

Simon de Goede took first place in the senior category with Brandon Schulman winning the junior category.

Local skateboarders show off their best tricks and ripped through ramps and half-pipes in a Gsk8 skateboard competition at the Nelspruit Motor Show recently at Riverside Mall.

The competition during this event was off the charts as every skater had his own unique style and tricks to wow the judges.

There were two competitions, for juniors and seniors, that were judged according to the number of tricks landed as well as the difficulty of those performed.

There was time for the participants to test out the course and practise their tricks in-between the competitive rounds as well.

Skaters had to give their very best in order to beat their closest rivals on the day.

Simon de Goede took first place in the senior category with Brandon Schulman winning the junior category.

The top-three skateboarders won a pro board, backpack and tablet, among many other skate-related items.
