CANSA hosts fun day of golf

A prize-giving was hosted afterwards with golfers being treated to a talk by former SA cricketer and cancer survivor, Dave Callaghan.

On Friday June 5 CANSA Lowveld held its first Barrels & Balls event at Kokopelli Restaurant & Driving Range.

The participants took part in a fun format which included a lot of social banter between long drives and well-timed swings.

A prize-giving was hosted afterwards with golfers being treated to a talk by former SA cricketer and cancer survivor, Dave Callaghan.

CANSA ambassador, Kiran Coetzee, also shared about his journey up Mount Kilimanjaro and his upcoming new book.

Awesome prizes, donated by local businesses and individuals, were handed out during a fun-filled prize-giving ceremony.

“Thank you to all our sponsors and to the players who contributed to this event being a huge success,” said Cherise Nel, a member of the organising committee.
