Local riders achieve dream results in show

The show took place last week and as usual the atmosphere at this lovely venue situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate was magical with visits from small game in the arenas causing some amusing moments.

The highlight of the Lowveld Riders’ performances was Wilko Kamffer who won the African Dream Victor Ludorum Floating Trophy on Shadow Fly showing his outstanding sportsmanship and riding skills. On Monday a musical fancy-dress dressage event was held, to the delight of riders and spectators alike. Natasha White and Brandenburg Special Assignment looked outstanding in their “Africa” outfits.

• Hannelize Kamffer on Ruarch on Me (Nottinghill Equestrian Centre) – first (competition) and second (accumulator)
• Hannelize Kamffer on Katanga Ixchel (Nottinghill Equestrian Centre) – second (competition), first (accumulator) and first (speed competition).

1,1-metre classes:
• Wilko Kamffer on Shadow Fly (Nottinghill Equestrian Centre) – first (competition), second (accumulator), second (speed competition), first (1,1/1,2m championship) and victor ludorum
• Liz Marie Crous on Only You (Nottinghill Equestrian Centre) – first (speed competition) and second (championship).
