Schools’ spirit shines in hockey clashes

Nelspruit Primary hosted an epic hockey battle against Laerskool Bergland on Wednesday, while the the latter’s boys took on Riverview.

In a very close battle Primary’s u/12 girls were the only team to clinch victory for their school with a score of 1-0.

The u/13s of Bergland also managed to win only one match, also by one point. The u/11 game ended in a draw. Neither of the teams managed to score a goal.

Bergland’s boys beat Riverview by four goals with Riverview not being able to score a single one.

Organisers said the matches were really tight, but also provided a perfect opportunity for players to get to know one another on the field and to showcase their talent.
